Hospitality:
Benedictines are
virtually synonymous with the practice of hospitality. St. Benedict in his
Rule says that all guests are to be received as Christ. A whole chapter of
the Rule is devoted to the monastic practice of hospitality. The Monastery
has a guesthouse with six rooms. For reservations, please call the
Monastery. Also, groups come for day long days of recollection and prayer
which usually includes a large noon meal and two conferences, besides
reflection time. The Monastery will begin a series of mini-retreats open
to anyone later this summer and fall.
